Selected work
Most of my work follows one pattern: build the foundation, then ship complex product on top of it, and keep both evolving together. In fintech, that meant a design system that let product teams prototype significantly faster without adding headcount. In media, it meant one platform carrying a dozen distinct brands to tens of millions of monthly readers.
TrueML: a design system built for AI-era prototyping
Principal Product Designer, 2021–2026. The design system and the products grew together. I architected TrueML's system in Figma, synced it with the React codebase, and extended it into a component kit for Figma Make, Claude Design, and other prompt-to-UI tools. Every product we redesigned, from the consumer payment flow to client onboarding and internal tools, fed back into the system, and every system update made the next product faster to build.
G/O Media: one platform, a dozen brands
Lead Product Designer, 2014–2021. Gizmodo, Jezebel, Kotaku, The Onion, and more all ran on the same templates. I led a team of six designers across two continents to build the system that let each brand keep its own voice, then used it to rebuild the network's navigation and editorial formats for tens of millions of monthly readers.
Building news media from scratch
2000–2014. Before New York, I spent over a decade designing Hungary's leading independent news sites: the brand and product for 444.hu, built from the ground up, and two full redesigns of Index.hu, including the country's first responsive news site.
Outside work
Comics and gig posters. A webcomic that ran for five years, and more than a decade of posters and flyers for underground clubs and DJ groups in Budapest.
